  • Turning off the hibernate option on your Surface is pretty easy, in fact, you only need to run one command. However, you’ll need to do it from an admin command prompt.
  • Tap and hold (right-click) the Start Button.
  • Select Command Prompt (Admin) from the list.
  • Enter the following command powercfg -h off then hit Enter.
